On this week’s episode of the hit HBO series, “Boardwalk Empire,” we put the pistols and planning aside (for a moment) and are re-introduced to some old characters. There is no time wasted for catch ups as the episode pans open on a deserted piece of land and Eli Thompson walking out of prison (serving time for murdering Margret’s husband in season one.)
Last week we followed Leslie on an ambitious trip to our nation’s capital. This week she is back in Pawnee doing what she does best: getting shit done.
The notoriously unhealthy city of Pawnee has once again made some very bad decisions. For starters, they finally chased Sue’s Salads, their only nutritious option, out of town.

Many people try to pigeon hole reality TV into one category — but what some people don’t realize is that, like other types of TV programs, there are different kinds of shows for different kinds of people, and with the fall TV season heating up, so are some of these shows.
When trying to find the right reality show, there are many things to consider. Basic interests are one of them. If you’re a competitive person, the world is your oyster. There are many reality shows based around competitions, most focusing on a large sum of money.

The airing of “America’s Next Top Model” Cycle 19: College Edition last Friday was extra special for Kent State viewers. Kaci Cramer, one of our very own Golden Flashes, strutted down the runway while a million* Americans looked on. Though the show gave us a pretty good idea of the obstacles Cramer had to overcome to make it to the Top 30, there was so much more to the story left untold. Kaci Cramer is currently a freshman fashion merchandising major who models on the side. Modeling since she was 11, she’s certainly no stranger to the camera.
We let the cast of One Tree Hill into our homes for 9 years and last night, was the last time. Through all the drama, deaths, kidnapping, and weddings we’ve connected with each and every character. As the last season came to an end the drama and kidnapping were at an all time high. European basketball agents held Nathan hostage for most of the season. Dan, Chris Keller and Julian team up to save Nathan from the agents and police. Yes, the police were behind Nathan’s disappearance.
While Dan is saving Nathan, he is shot. Due to his pre-existing heart condition, Dan is not strong enough to recover. The most emotional part of this season is Dan’s flashbacks. Dan sees all of the horrible things he’s done to his family, but most importantly, he sees Keith. Keith finds it in his heart to forgive Dan and the two walk into Heaven together. (Box of tissues anyone?)
Quentin Fields’ murderer and Brooke Davis’ stalker is out of jail and still up to his old tricks. Xavier Daniels attempts to kill Brooke when Brooke’s rival (new café owner) saves her. Daniels is put back into jail and Brooke is able to live a normal life once again. Even her parents actually act like parents. Brooke and her dad start a boys clothing line “Baker Man,” and Julian’s idea to make a TV series about Lucas’ book, “An Unkindness of Ravens” was picked up by an agent.
And finally Quinn and Clay are engaged! The couple experience a relationship set back as Clay continuously forgot who he was. After months of therapy he finally figured out why he kept running away. He has a child!! Yes, Clay had a baby boy, Logan before his first wife died, but the pain of losing her was so incredible that he blocked Logan out of his mind. Logan happens to be in the same therapy place as Clay, which helps him make the break through. Eventually Clay takes the Logan home and after a little time he asks Logan to be his little boy for good this time. He promises he will never leave him again. Quinn, Clay and Logan head down to the courthouse to sign the papers, but before they adopt him, Quinn and Clay get married! She wants to be Quinn Evans before the two adopt their son.
The Scott Family basketball skills continued as Jamie Scott broke his dad’s all time scoring record for Tree Hill High. As for Skills and Mouth, well, Skills is back with his high school sweetheart Bevin and Mouth and Millie are married and expecting.

The fifth season of AMC's “Mad Men” kicked off with a hefty two-hour-long season premiere that introduced us to Don Draper's new wife and her awkward rendition of (the now infamous) “Zou Bissou Bissou” at Don's 40th birthday party.
