As the temperatures drop and the god-awful winter rolls into Ohio, your car may begin to make those pleading and desperate cries. All of the missed oil changes and potholes make your car sound like a symphony of bad things waiting to happen. Turn up and tune out to these tracks as your car painfully pushes on this winter.
“Radar Love”- Golden Earring A pounding, consistent drum-beat gives way to a call and response that will get any fist pumping. The swell and drop in the music is perfect for those hilly back roads as you slice through winter weather. Choose this track on that night ride that just simply won't end.
“Stylo”- Gorillaz Some songs were designed for enjoying in your car and this is one of them. The hypnotic beat and Mos Def's smooth flow will put you in a driving trance. Just as you get comfortable, the wails of Bobby Womack bring you back to reality as you pound the pavement.
“Gold on the Ceiling” The Black Keys This new track from the Akron duo is part rock fury and part sing-a-long. With the help of background singers channeling Motown, your friends will be singing along with you during the infectious chorus. Bonus: these guys will be blazing through Ohio this spring, March 4 in Columbus at the Schottenstein Center and March 20 in Cleveland at Quicken Loans Arena.
“I Know The Truth” Pretty Lights This track is for the people who are sick of being ridiculed for stating, “Yeah, I love that band dubstep, their stuff is pretty incredible”. Nothing makes those miles pass by like a track that samples 60s soul music with dirty bass lines that will make your speakers hum. 5"Gangsta” tUnE-yArDs Sometimes we find ourselves driving in a neighborhood that scares the shit out of us. Then the paranoia creeps in as every terrible outcome and possibility passes our mind. Crank this track when this happens and realize we all share the same damn worries.
