Pubic Displays of Affection. How much is simply too much?

If you are lucky enough to be in a relationship then you may have found yourself stretching the limits of PDA with your significant other. Yes, expressing your undying love for your partner is perfectly adequate, but there is a time and place to do so. You want those watching in public to be envious of you and your partner’s relationship, not nauseated by it.

DON’T hang all over each other.

The constant leaning, squeezing, holding, and touching doesn’t make you and your partner look cute, it only makes you look really obnoxious. Don’t smother your partner, especially in public. Sometimes, less is more.

DO hold hands.

Holding hands is a simple, but romantic gesture. And it is the perfect understated way to express your love for your partner in public. This will show everyone in public that you are a classy and respectable couple with self-control.

DON’T make out.

Trust me, no one in the outside world wants to see you and your partner engage in a full-on make out session. It makes you and your partner look desperate, and, frankly, trashy. Save those steamy make out sessions for behind closed doors. Keep the tongues in!

DOkiss lightly.

The occasional light kiss on the lips is both subtle and sincere. It shows your partner, and those watching in public, that you love and care for him or her, without going overboard. As long as you don’t overdo it, engaging in brief kisses with your partner is perfectly acceptable in public.

  • - Cuddling / Snuggling
  • - Constant Touching/Rubbing
  • OTHER DOs:
  • - Hugging
  • - Exchanging Loving Glances
  • - Soft, Brief Touches
  • - Smiling/Laughing/Whispering
