Relationships can be full of love, laughter and happiness, but they can also be traumatic and painful. Sometimes, people may be so head-over-heels in love with someone that they ignore all the red flags saying "THIS PERSON IS NOT RIGHT FOR YOU." Many times high school and college students are so focused on finding Mr. or Mrs. Right that they end up finding Mr. or Mrs. Wrong. Many young people don't realize they may not be ready to handle a mature relationship. Therefore, they make wrong decisions and shatter the relationship.

Many people know what it's like to be cheated on. It's painful and takes everything out of you. If you are getting weird vibes from your significant other and think he or she may be cheating on you, here is a list of signs to help you determine one way or another.

1CELL PHONES- Is your significant other constantly texting? What about speaking softly on the phone and the moment you enter the room the conversation is cut short? Chances are he/she is cheating. Another sign is keeping his/her phone out of your reach.

2INTERNET- Another common way cheaters keep in contact with their new fling is through the Internet: Facebook, email, etc. If their history is always cleared off their computer when you get on it, something may be up. (This goes for cellphones also.)

3ATTITUDE- Many times when someone is cheating on their significant other, they will become very defensive. They subconsciously feel guilty for what they are doing. (As they should.) So any moves you make or question you ask will be wrong. Many times they will even accuse YOU of having an affair.

4 EXCUSES- Your significant other is full of excuses: Why he/she is always late after work, something has come up so he/she has to cancel the plans you guys had, or suddenly always has to “run errands” on his or her day off.

If you feel that you are being cheated on the best thing to do is confront your significant other. Too much snooping will lead to more problems. If he/she pauses, looks down, closes his/her eyes for a long pause they are LYING! The true test to tell if someone is lying is to have them look you straight in the eye and answer your question.

If you are considering cheating, DON’T. Have enough respect for the other person and tell them you need space. Being on the receiving end of cheating is painful. It can cause depression, loss of self-confidence and worth and no one deserves to feel that way.
