Living in northeast Ohio means enduring the unpredictability of the weather year-round. The weather definitely doesn’t change appropriately with the seasons, so you never know exactly what to expect when venturing outside.
And figuring out what to wear through this bi-polar weather can be even more of a challenge. However, if you have items in your wardrobe that can be carried over from season to season, it makes for a more successful and weatherproof outfit.
So, raid your closets and make sure you have these essential pieces to survive the sporadic weather patterns.
1 Boots: Whether tall or short, boots can transition perfectly with the passing seasons. Boots are a must have during the winter months, and will complement any coat that you sport. Once the spring months roll around, you can pair your very same boots with a skirt or dress. So easy!
2 Jackets: I, myself, have an obsession with jackets and believe that you can never have too many. Of course, jackets are a necessity during the wintertime, but jackets are also great for the spring. Any neutral or pastel-colored jacket will make your outfit look ready for the spring.
3 Cardigans: Often neglected, cardigans make for a great addition to your wardrobe. Cardigans can be easily layered under coats for winter, but can also be worn lightly with leggings and flats for spring. Either way, you have a cute outfit to show off.
4 Scarves & Hats: I firmly believe that everyone should have at least one hat and scarf in their closet, but the more the merrier. I have more than 20 myself. Something so simple as a scarf or hat can complete your outfit. And they shouldn’t just be worn during the winter months. There are plenty of hats and scarves that are appropriate for spring too!
Well, there you have it! Adding these simple pieces to your wardrobe will make transitioning with the changing seasons a breeze!
