Summer is right around the corner, and if you’re like me, you’re single, but not quite ready to mingle. I’m completely fine with being single, yet everywhere I turn there is something about summer love and/or weddings. It’s quite frustrating. Anyways, if you’re single this summer, don’t look at it as a negative, it can be a great thing!
1We’re college students, so if you’re going home you’ll have much more time to be with friends and family that you don’t see throughout the school year. If you’re staying in Kent, enjoy life and live in the moment!
2Focus on you: Summer is more laid back for the most of us, so take that time to be selfish. Focus on your needs. Have you wanted to loose those few winter pounds? Well, now you’ll have time to go to the rec as often as you want.
3Watch any chick flick you want without someone nagging about it!
4Your mood will not be altered by his mood. We all know this is true! Whether you’re fighting with your boy or he’s just being stubborn, it reflects how you act towards others.
5 Be spontaneous! Take a last minute road trip with friends or simply just get in the car drive ‘til you run out of gas. (Not literally, but just see what state you end up in!)
6 Facebook…. Sometimes it causes too many problems. So, now you can take pictures with as many guys as you want without getting the third degree.
7 No cuddling! While I love cuddling as much as the next girl, sharing a bed and cuddling at night while you’re apartment is about 80 degrees because you don’t want to pay for air (me). NO THANKS! So, enjoy having the entire bed to yourself!
8 Shop Shop Shop!!! Now you can spend all day at the mall and not feel guilty about it. Also, it’s summer; go buy those shoes you’ve been wanting forever! You deserve it!
9 NO snoring!!!
10Turn up your flirting! If you’re out at the bars or the beach and some cutie wants your number, TAKE it! What do you got to loose?
